Treatment of Women’s Health problems, specifically pelvic health problems, has been a profound, unmet need throughout East Africa. There has been minimal educational resources to teach physical therapy practitioners how to effectively evaluate and treat these individuals. The Jackson Clinics Foundation has made a commitment to meet this need by sending qualified instructors to teach at the Kenya Medical Training College, KMTC), in Nairobi, Kenya. Many thanks to Herman and Wallace Continuing Education for supplying the content necessary to teach these courses. We recently sent three instructors to teach the Level 1 course over a two week period, (eventually three levels will be taught). Here is a blog describing their first week.
