RESEARCH

In 2014 Shala Cunningham, PT, DPT, Ph.D., DMT, OCS, FAAOMPT, a volunteer teacher in our Kenyan program, received a grant to study our outcomes. The graduates of our first cohort were taking their final practical exam just as the new cohort was beginning the program. We administered the same exam to the new cohort. The average grade of our graduates was 86 while the average grade of the new students was 33, thus proving the program’s effectiveness. She presented the findings of this first outcomes study at the World Congress of Physical Therapy in Singapore in May 2015.
